On to Oxford...

June 22, 2012

We woke up and had a nice relaxing morning with John.  Becky, Joseph and Charlotte had all gotten up and gone to school without so much as a sound…  It was so nice to be able to do a load of laundry too.  We sat and chatted with John while waiting for the laundry to dry.  I can’t tell you how nice it was to just do nothing for a bit.  We have had such an amazing adventure the last ten days, but it has been non-stop seeing amazing things and go, go, go, that it was nice to STOP for a bit.  While waiting, their cat, Sox, kept coming to the window, so had to snap a pic.

Also wanted a pic of their newly remodeled kitchen…

After John left for work and the laundry was done, we had a nice drive to Oxford.  David wanted the kids to see where he went to University.  We were able to get dorm rooms at St. Edmond Hall (Teddy Hall) and the kids were so excited to have their own dorm room.  They had a great time pretending they were college students.  I walked in on them and Jason was asking Danika to go do something, and she said, “Well, that sounds lovely, but I really must study tonight”.  So funny J

We ended up having dinner at a really good Indian food restaurant with great views.

We had starters of poppadoms with Danika’s favorite, mango chutney…

Had to put a picture of the Chicken Tikka Masala and the Chicken Korma, for Paul Gladen.

The food was excellent and we all were so stuffed that we rolled out of the place and back to the dorms and off to bed.
